There are no winners in war. History has made this quite clear. Yet we keep planning for it. We want to be sure to be ready for the enemy.

Even when I was a little kid, I wondered why it was that we had enemies. I wonder even more about that today. As we grow older and supposedly wiser, one would think we would learn to understand one another and tolerate them.
