I wish I could remember where I saw this somewhere earlier today. The comment was that we might expect to see hundreds of nuclear plants going up. I almost couldn't believe it.

Shirley, I have looked through dozens and dozens of recent articles on Google and other sources, and can't find anything approaching such a magnitude of attacks, although terrorist attacks are always on my mind concerning them. But even if there is a small nuclear skirmish somewhere, something like you describe could happen virtually overnight. My daily Google system usually captures the "up to 15" best stories, 3 in each category -- just as I designed it to do, and I don't recall in the year and a half that I have been Posting 'All Things Nuclear' seeing anything of such threatened or even someone's opinion about a massive attack on nuclear power plants. But the Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in Ukraine is scary as hell all by itself. (But if you run across the story you saw, please send it to me and I will evaluate it.

But one of the complaints in this article I posted tonight is the illegal trading in uranium fuel with the intent to build nuclear bombs -- something that I have complained about numerous times -- and blaming Biden's role in allowing this to happen with his carrot and stick program to allow poorer nations to buy uranium fuel, expecting them to eventually build nuclear power plants. But most of us already knw that would never happen, and the fuel is being bought and sold on black markets just as I thought, for building small sized nuclear weapons for small sized countries. Biden should never have approved such a program . . .
