LLAW’s “ALL THINGS NUCLEAR” #498 (01/01/2024)
”End Nuclear Insanity Before Nuclear Insanity Ends Humanity”
LLAW’s THOUGHTS TONIGHT: (01/01/2024)
From CBS News: North Korea's Kim Jong Un orders military to "thoroughly annihilate" U.S. if provoked, state media say (This a live link from m daily nuclear news directly below in the “Nuclear War” category. I have not read, nor do I intend to.)
The reason I won’t read it is because of the words “. . . if provoked, state media say”. In other words, the headline means nothing. It’s pure and simple propaganda of the worst kind, generated by bad journalism and I personally resent that CBS News (as a come-on for advertising Posted it at all.)
I would ordinarily just ignore the Post and allow it to pass without comment, but sometimes there is a limit to my patience or ethics as well, and even though it is there for all to read and react to, it is still in bad taste and is what might be called “Yellow Journalism”.
Other than that, I wish you all the happiest, most productive, and all things best in this New Year, 2024, which like most of them, is met with new hope and optimism. May that also be the case for ridding ourselves of all things nuclear while there is still time. ~llaw
